Anybody know what temp range those plastic filters can take before they melt?

Nother thumbs down on the side curtains. But I like the solid wide-5 wheels with the nipple caps. The first few thousand TDs came through with no holes in the wheels.Nice car otherwise. Buyers have to know they’re looking at a swing axle car.

I see it all the time. Those big, tall skinny shifters help hide the fact, but it does offend my delicate sensibilities to see a ’50s or ’60s style rod sporting an auto trans. Wouldn’t necessarily mind trading places with them, though, when crawling through downtown traffic or, like yesterday, when situated on the ramp leaving Lowes and unable to…[Read more]

I also have a clear plastic filter and it always had air in it. I also gets a white substance that settles at the bottom of the filter. The last time I change the filter, I cut open the old one and found that the white substance was soft and putty like but not sticky. I don’t know if this is a coating from inside the gas tank starting to break…[Read more]

Awesome! This is great and means I will likely have it done today if I can round u my 3 adult sons and their friends. And yes, beer will be a strong motivator. The main reason I removed the fenders was because I’m going to change the color of the two tone paint job and needed to replace the fender welt to match the new color.I probably could have…[Read more]

This gives whole new meaning to the term “frameoff restoration”.
Most cars need a hydraulic lift to remove the body. A TD Replica needs 2x4s and 6 big guys, plus a case of beer and a couple of pizzas.

Mine too. I worried about it when I first got the car, but it never caused a problem.

You can remove the body in one piece. In fact, you could have left the fenders and running boards on too.But please, please be careful. The center section will be very flexible, with very little fiberglass under the door openings.I suggest pulling all the bolts, then sliding three two by fours under the body, one under the door openings, one at…[Read more]

Wow, I’ve heard of thread drift. But I do believe this is the first time I’ve seen a topic drift from windshield wipers, to Mounds/Almond Joy to M&Ms.So I guess the natural question at this point is….Plain or Peanut M&M?
