Interesting projects for the ambitious tightwad! That Yugo interior has got to go, and with the V-dub, I didn’t see or read of any kind of grill either. buyer beware.

Tom, My VWbased London Roadster has a custom fuel tank ,however it is located beneath the floor of the trunk and the entire compartment is covered with carpet which is glued in place.It is a square alluminum tank about 24”x24” x 8” deep.The ”lower floor”’of the compartment is designed to provide a mounting place for the tank. Not quite on theme but we have been selling the TD2000 in Europe for some years and I have been telling Edward Teo (MD of TDCars) that the USA should be a great market for him. Grandpa,
I have one that I will part w/ – it is fiberglass and I spent lots of time making
it nice and smooth than had it painted – decided to go w/ a a spare instead.
AND – it’s red

Larry, Yes I know, SHE corrected me too. Said something like I was way kind and she hasn’t seen 100 lbs since about 6th grade. I guess I guessed light.

Montie, Trust me ,a 100 lb wife is not something heavy. You should have said ”My wife who only weighs about 100 lbs,helped me with the project”

I’d fab one up from one of those Jeep or other mini SUV tire covers–the hard shell ones are glass, I think, and might be findable in junk yards.

I had my replacements made at a local plastic fab shop. total cost was I think $30.00. I redesigned them a little larger (see my photos), they work great and didn’t break the bank. I already had the hindges on the car from the old ones so it was easy.
