It wont be under the seat. The VIN will be stamped on the tunnel just in front of the rear acces panel for the shift lever. It’s more than likely under a piece of carpet.

Just a for instance…one shows two fuse blocks (4 fuse block and an 8 fuse block) and the Fiberfab shows one 6 fuse block.) And both say 20 and 30 amp fuses but don’t say…[Read more]

Phil’s answer jogged my brain . My car has the batt. under the right seat in the original VW position and uses the VW bat. cables as well so I assumed [apparently incorrectly] that the batt. cables were already in place.. Phil is correct in saying you need to run a batt. cable from the batt.+ to the starter and also a ground cable from the…[Read more]

You need a heavy gauge battery cable wire from the battery positive terminal to the starter and another one from the negative terminal to chassis ground. I believe it is a # 3 or 4 gauge wire. I think it is mentioned in the text of the manual.

Welcome to the MGTD Kit Car Forum. You’ll have a great time doing the restoration. Like I was told by other, check MG Magic for parts. They are the best source I believe. If you live in GA PM me and perhaps we can hook up and help each other out.
