I don’t have photoshop. That’s just an amateur cut and paste.I’ve gone as far into the motor as I can with it still in the car.And the next couple weekends are filled. So I won’t be able to get the motor out for at least a few weekends.

Richard,
Hope to drop off the carbs at my engine guy tonight – I will find out his
timeline and let you know when he should finish the rebuilds.

Paul/Richard,
I did spend less then the 2500.00 for my speedie, but it was a basket case
and will cost me a ton by the time I am done, but a lot less than many else
will have invested ( not counting all the work I have done ). -

Dude! Get to work on your car!
Or, if you must play with photoshop, use the lasso tool to get just your car and drop it into the existing background. Should put yourself in there too. And maybe Paul Newman or Lady Gaga while you’re at it. -

Hey, I made it to Carlisle, albeit a bit late.
I bet someone with real talent could make this picture look real.

I’ll keep updating this thread as the diagnosis continues. But that won’t be for at least a couple weekends.
And anyone with any ideas, feel free to share them.

Ironic,, I just had the same problem. The engine was running fine until I shut it off. When I restarted it it would pop. I also found the pushrod off the # 3 cylinder. I reset the valve clearance and It ran beautiful until I shut it off. Same problem although now I can’t een get it out of the driveway. Getting ready to pull the beast!

Will, it’s become apparent over the years that car guys, in general, are easy to amuse!
Ed et al, stay tuned to the Engine Trouble thread for updates. It’ll be a while though. I’m gonna have to drop theengien to continue the diagnosis. And that won’t happen for at least a couple weeks.

Didn’t think you were making light. It’s just always a good idea to keep a thread “on topic” and not stray away into something else.
Thanks. -

Paul, Thats where I got the idea, Octagon loaned me his Classic Roadster build manuals and although his car is a chevette kit the book covers both models. Funny you should mention the funny looks that concept is exactly what got the hotrod guys excited enough to help me. Will

Will,
I enjoy the pictures. But I’m looking for some input on my engine problems and your pictures have nothing to do with this.
I moved your posts to a new one in General Discussions called Washington Will’s Engine Photos. If you have any more (and they are great!) please post them there.
Thanks man. I appreciate it.PMOSSBERG40322.4758912037 -

Thanks for the pic, Paul. I’m gonna refrain from chiming in on your engine breakdown post, since I’ve not even adjusted the valves yet on mine. Hope to learn something useful from your trial though, and hope the trouble isn’t a high-dollar type.
