If you google the term “cab lock” I think you will find the parts you are looking for. I was able to locate a new door latch for one og my Fiberfab cars that way.

Paul Yes Yes the kit car companies have done more than the original manufactures to gave us all the ability to hold our dreams the only thing i regret is you can still get some cool kits in europe not here,
but that may change if more people get to see our cars .

Hey Dan, I agree. All I meant by my British/British comment is what you wrote, “…the art work and design are British.”The picture is of two British designs,
regardless of what is underneath. Heck, I have German engineering under
my TD’s skin. But that doesn’t make the design German.I agree with you that American Ford V8s “made” the Cobra…[Read more] -

The Art work, design are British but both were made in the USA the AC Ace was powered by a poor Bristle 6 cylinder the 260 289 427 and 428 V8 made the car what it is today .AC built just over 1000 of the Ace 1962-1969 if it were not for the US kit car companies we would never see the flowing lines of a TD or a cobra I stand British / Americ…[Read more]

Technically, it’s a British/British pair.Carroll chose the British ACE to stuff his Ford V8s into.

W O W I love the pair British / American in red
I guess I’ll have to save up !! i don”t know if anyone knows but Carroll Shelby first raced a 49 TD he would love the pair as we do. Dan

At 6’2″, I took 3 inches from the seat base to releive the Dino Flintstone look and then took 3″ from the bottom of the seat back and moved it up onto the package shelf for leg room.

The dual plug cylinder head was not a performance item, it was designed that way for emission purposes.

I took my pedal support and mounted it to a piece of angle iron and bolted it to the side of the tunnel to accommodate my big feet(size 13). Just make sure you have full travel without hitting the tunnel side.

Mark Hendrickson replied to the topic Re:Hub Conversion in the forum VW Based Kits 16 years ago
I built a Ford based CMC kit that had an old set (circa 1970’s) of CRAGAR Tru-spokes with the 4 lug Ford bolt pattern. These first generation CRAGAR Tru-spoke wheels required tubes. That car is proabably still sitting in Scaramento, CA almost in the same condition I sold it (rolling chassis w/body sitting on frame). Not sure what the buyer did…[Read more]

For overheating, I installed an overflow container as the original builder didn’t install one. It really assures a full system and allows me to check fluids without touching the radiator cap.

Great news…on the road again!
About the overheating…check to see what thermostat is in it. If it’s not a 180*, change it to one. The stat’s fahrenheit value should be stamped on it, plus if it’s the original, it’s probably due for a change anyway.
If you can, pressure test the radiator cap too.
If you run just water in the system, products…[Read more] -

As an owner of two replicas I can say they both have there merits.
These two don’t get together often but they seem to get along fine when they do.
My wife loves the MG do to it’s lack of comparison power.
I think the cobra has it’s role in the fast pace environment of MA but NH is a slower pace and perfect for the MG. They both get considerable…[Read more] -

Thanks for all the responses. It’s funny how you can just throw out an idea and get so many responses, particularly if there are emotional ties. Paul, 27 years!!! That is AWESOME!!
