Thanks Paul.
I may have picked up some TD-kit info over the years (my car’s been on the road since 1983!), and maybe even some VW know-how. But I don’t have the web-knowledge necessary to maintain the actual site. -

Hello Paul Mossberg,
You should just take control of this site, seems like you have it all under control. I always like seeing your responces and I know that the web owner is under a lot of stress ( other Job) right now.
So maybe you could get him to let you keep the site updated ???
I think you would be great…. -

Wheelcovers: Original or reproduction TD caps will not fit the VW wheel. I came close (not exact but close) with chrome VW hubcaps, which I drilled to fit the MD wheel centers. You can see them on my car in the photo gallery, PMOSSBERG folder
Steering Wheel – Grant makes a number of banjo type steering wheel and sells a VW column adapter. Close to…[Read more] -

Hello,
I don’t know about the VIN numbers, but from the headlight setup and beading, it looks like you have a “London Roadster”, built in Michigan. I have the same version. You mentioned CHP? Where in California are you. I don’t see too many of these vehicles around in Los Angeles.
Good luck in your search and have fun in yer lil ride.…[Read more]

I used a cut polishing compound made by Aqua-Buff
used 1000 grit first and then finished with 2000 grit then put on two coats of wax.

The car was built in Vancouver according to the owner. I am in Winnipeg. I
am told a very good top man has left the city and opened a shop in
Nanaimo. If needed, I could probably get name and address.I have exchanged e-mails with Brad at MG Magic. They say the Daytona was
not friendly with tops and would need to have it actually there to do…[Read more] -

Paul,
Sounds good – Are you going to their planned dinners on Friday and Sat nights? Driving w/ the group in your car?
I am still working through issues on mine, but hope to have it together in time. I am waiting for my dual carbs to come back from CA and get them installed and adjusted. Worse case – I will tow the car w/ my tow bar and then just…[Read more] -

I have put up some pictures I took today. I wanted you to have a look and
possibly give me some guesses before I call MG Magic. I have been informed
it is a 1976 engine. The seller bought it in Vancouver BC about 20 years ago.
He bought it about one year after it was completed. It has a bit of a sag in
the rear but I do not think that will be…[Read more] -

Hamish,I figured out how to access your pics after I posted.I am not at all familiar with your brand of body,I am sure others are though. It would be well worth your time to call Brad at MG Magic and describe the car to him.By the time you give him a couple of details he will spout the name and history of the builder. The top on that car in no way…[Read more]

Thank you all for the help. Hopefully, this Sunday I will be able to see the
car, and take some pictures. I will look for the emblem also. Is there any
particular picture that would be of help, other than the emblem? I can post
the pictures at the above site. They will be about 2.5MB each so may load or
download slowly.
I will post a note when…[Read more] -
