If you knew me you would know i need the project like I need another orifice . I have a fair accumulation of VW parts . And Bug Eyed VW is only about 15 miles away so i have a close source for the parts i may need to put some of this junk i have been falling over to some good . My firs task is to pull the body and put pans in it and move the…[Read more]

SUBY!!:-)
I see, reading earlier posts, that you’ve eliminated that as an option. Fair enough. Your cheapest and most reasonable option is a rebuild of the existing engine to near-stock spec. You could probably get it done for $1,000, or even less, depending on your skill. Or maybe $1500.I’ll say this though, then stop: The Suby 2.2 can be had out… -

Donny, unless you have a lot more room in your engine box than my Daytona has, you can’t fit a Subaru without a lot of fiberglass work.I believe you will find a lot (including all Daytonas) with the bump on the running boards to accommodate the rear torsion bars. Donny, what are your goals with regard to your car. If you intend to put a chrome…[Read more]

Looks like a viable project to me. Bumpers, mirrors, door handles. Probably some gauges.
Does she run? Cuz if she doesn’t run, I recommend Subaru power. -

Welcome!Wish you had found us a year ago. This time last year I was in Australia. My daughter spent a semester at UQ in Brisbane. I met her in Melbourne for the Australian GP, then headed back to Brisbane for ten days. Loved every minute of it! And look forward to returning some day.

Schu’s dashboard is nice, and after 13 years he can brag.
Bridget’s earlier dash was also 1/4 or 3/8 inch thick. When I replaced it I made the new one thicker to take screws along the edges for the glovebox door and the metal trim. The original TD dash was about 1/2-inch thick; I ended up at about 5/8.I will again argue for Pelucid + Minwax… -

Yeah that is the same body as mine with the integrated rear fenders. Your are missing the chrome grill shell. I believe MG Magic might have one. It will be a tough part to find.

I never understood why forums wanted birth dates to register. Unless there is some justification I never provide my real birth date due to concerns with identity theft. Having spent 25 years in IT the last in IT Security I have seen first hand the impact of providing birth dates and SIN # hence if that info is ever requested I make sure the…[Read more]
