It’s a British Coach Works 1.6 liter GM front engined TD.  Got it from a woman in West Jersey who enjoyed it for a couple of years.  Emissions/EPA stickers under the hood mention a 1987 date.

Agree. Tring to use a jumper as originally mentioned ould backfeed the entire other circuit. If the brake light is not bright enough to satisfy you, try using a brighter bulb/LED array.

If it was a standard bug pan, it would have drums all around unless (a) the LR factory included discs with your car, or (b) you or someone else installed aftermarket discs, such as those from EMPI. I put discs on the front of my VW-based FiberFab, but they really aren’t necessary.

Along this same line of question, my LR seems to have drum brakes on all four corners.But everything I’ve seen states it should be front disc and rear drum (?). Or am I just mistaken…My LR is based on a standard VW bug pan. I don’t know what year.

Dick ,is your LR built on custom chassis or  VW bug pan?

London Roadster uses VW Brake’s. Mine used squareback pads and caliphers

If that’s running two single contact bulbs, change the pigtail in the socket behind “Stop” to a dual contact.

Is that the Chevette Column stripped of all the plastic, or did you install a completely new one?

For a minute on the early 80s every American car came with an 85 mph speedometer.

Tried finding what that speedometer and fuel gauge is from and only found a 1980’s Ford Escort dash. Doesn’t actually match though, especially because of the indicator lights. They were between the gauges not in them.
