Google “roller accelerator pedal” and you are going to find dozens of hits for the VW pedal assembly.
But I’m not seeing anything for Chevette or Pinto pedal assemblies. -

I can trace my 1982 FF blank/uninstalled dash and send it to you, if you want. Maybe not in time for Saturday.

Never heard of it. I think you have a remote latch on each side? If so, you’d be cutting the “shelf” on each side piece. You would disassemble them from the frame parts. You would fab a new latch system for the bottoms. You would probably add some small strut bars to replace the strength they gave the nose structure. Then piano hinges and fiddling.

Yes and they would still be fiberglass. So just a matter of getting two piano hinges and cutting the hood at the lower edge? Then fabricate attachments for lower hood latches? So have many people done this?

Still have to adjust pads, but much easier to push pedals now. I do like the roller pedal. Where can they be gotten?

Why not re-work the original side pieces? They’re already fit, yes?

Very TD-ish solution. There is a rubber footwell liner you can get from Moss that replaces the same part on the originals–though they only sink about an inch. I have one in Bridget, as seen here.

WOW!, what a great story, and a wonderful way to honor your Father in Law. My parents had an orginal “Woody Station Wagon” and my dad made hammocks in the back for us kids to sleep in on the long trip drives that we took from Buffalo to Georgina Bay, Canada. Such great memories.Be safe driving that “Woody”!Regards Dave

I’m interested in converting my BCW Chevette to an original hood. Does anyone know if an original TD folding hood will fit the cowl and radiator?

Tape brown paper to the dash and trace the outline. You may be able to trace the outline of each switch knob and gauge. If not measure op, down, across and from a side edge to the middle of each gauge. Maybe someone here has a dash pattern you could use.

OK, so I’m not sure that’s her. If it is she was about 25-26 there.
In “Monkey Business” with Cary Grant, MM was 26 years old. They used a ’52 TD in that one (supposedly it sold at auction a few years back for $210k, but I’m not convinced it was the same car–the rear tail light plinths were not molded in on the car sold out of Debbie Reynolds’… - Load More
