Hi folks,
If you are west of the Mississippi, the largest gathering of kit car owners and manufacturers you will find in one place will be found at the Carlisle Import-Kit/Replicar Nationals, May 19, 20 and 21, 2006.
Check out their web site for more info: http://www.carlisleproductions.com/schedule/import/index.asp
I’m pretty sure three list members will be there, Bill Collins, Pink MG (Mark) and me, Paul Mossberg. We can all be found at the New Jersey Replicar Club tent on the show field (just ask a Carlisle staff person where the NJ club is, if you don’t spot the tent yourself.)
Don’t miss it!!! With or without your MG reproduction.

March 4, 2006 at 8:17 am #236732Paul,
I plan on being there if I can finish my ride.
Is the NJ club the same as the speedster club? I am a member of that site as well- I hope to build one of those next.

March 5, 2006 at 3:36 pm #236733Hi Dale.
No.
The Speedster club is an on-line club, focused solely on Porshce Speedseter reproductions.
New Jersey Replicar Club (http://www.njreplicar.org) is open to all kit cars and home builts.

That’s twice this week I’ve done that… I was all happy about NASCAR Day and found out (after telling several customers ?Happy NASCAR DAY!!!) it’s not till May 19th
Oh well… now everyone knows….. I’ll need a full report and LOTS of pics…. Someone needs to organize a Members Photo Op and get the gang together (with the cars of course) and take a group photo!!!!!!
I’m looking forward to the pics and some stories!!!!!
April 26, 2006 at 7:51 am #236737I’ll cover the Carlisle show Frank.
It would be nice to know who is planning on attending, with or without their TD. Perrhaps you coudl post a survey form? Or members can just post replies here.
I suggest we pick a time & day and meet at the New Jersey Replicar tent on the show field. We won’t know where that is until we get there. But the registration staff and the staff on the show field will have maps.
If we have enough group members there with their cars, we should organize a group car shot also.

April 26, 2006 at 5:16 pm #236738Great idea Paul…I’ll be there with Tyler and no TD. We are just doing the Saturday “day trip” this year.
April 27, 2006 at 8:07 am #236739I will be there w/ or w/o my TD. I am working on the interior now and have yet to run the rebuilt engine and any road testing, so I still have a ways to go. Hope to meet up w/ you guys. Dale
April 27, 2006 at 10:30 am #236740Looking forward to meeting you Dale…there are losts of VW vendors there too.

May 17, 2006 at 11:17 pm #236741Hi folks,
So far, I know we’ll have Mark H (pinkmg), Dale (schu) and me.
Dale – Ask a Carlisle staffer on the show field to look up the New Jersey Replicar Club and direct you to our tent. Mark and I will be in and out all day. So just drop by and ask for Mark or Paul.
If we don’t meet up that way, how about we agree to be at the tent Saturday at 1:00 p.m.? OK?
Anyone else on the lsit plan on atending?

May 18, 2006 at 9:43 pm #236743Tyler and I will be leaving early (oh-dark-thirty) on Saturday. We have a slight detour to make (Lititz, PA) on the way out. I am looking at an ’88 GMC Suburban a private party is selling.
Due to the divorce settlement hosing I got on 02 May, my ’03 Dodge Ram 1500 pick-up is For Sale. I’m looking for an “under $3,000 Suburban” to replace it. I still need a tow vehicle/car parts hauler for my trailer. The Dodge is paid for and has too much equity in it to just sit in my driveway. I’ve been driving my base model PT Cruiser as a regular driver since the gas prices went nuts last year. The Dodge was not a feaseable daily driver once gasoline hit $2.25 a gallon. At $2.80 a gallon it’s over $100 to fill it up once a week if I use it as a daily driver. The PT is less than half that.
The weather report for Carlisle on Saturday seems to have improved slightly according to weather.com too.
