    @royal

I had a PM with Rocky and I think that he is still trying to make it.

    What say you Rocky?
If Wobby finks out on us, should we see about another source for one of those pop-up awning canopy things?
And what ever happened to Oh Donna?
I was going to try and get my friend Happy Jack to come, but it looks like he is buying a ’59 Frog Eye tomorrow.  (I am going along to kick tires and consult.)

That’s a great shot Ed.  I think that I also saw Schu in one of the videos coming out of Book’s Bridge.

They obviously like our TD’s.   Maybe if someone important (like Paul or Ed or Schu) asked, we could get them to waive their 25 car requirement and get our own “tent”?????

Congrat’s Ed – Just got the email this morning and first thing I see is Ed’s ride – very cool.
This year I will be auto crossing – who else is in?

I have a nice pop up I can bring if I flat tow vs. drive this year – hopefully I will be driving – it all depends on who is coming w/ me ( my son or wife ).
Roy – I know you are coming up from the south – anyone else? maybe we should set up a caravan

Re the tent, I was under the impression that Wobby had one and would bring. I will double-check.

I have a small one. I think it’s 8’x8′. At least it could provide some shade.

Guys, I had full intentions of being there with the car this year but a project from work will have me in LA that weekend.

Very disappointed.  I guess I’ll have to start planning for next year.  Take lots of pictures.

Roy, ncie idea, but there is no way Carlisle Productions will waive the minimum car requirement for a tent. They do not own them. They rent them. There’s lots of buck$ involved here.

I delete most Carlisle emails without reading them. Someone have the email with cover boy Ed that they can forward me?

Just FYI, everyone: Richard Wobby tells me by email he is planning to make Carlisle with Mrs. Wobby and a 10×10 or 10×20 stand-alone canopy. Sends regrets that he’s not been active on the board but “very busy” with two new businesses and a racing venture.

I expect we’ll hear all about it in May.

So if everyone makes it as planned that’s 8 TDs.

I’ve been going to Carlisle Import/Kit-Replica show since 1991.

And I am certain eight is a new record!

In the early days the kit show field was mostly the New Jersey Replicar Club, the Chicagoland Replicar Association and the Sterling Club, and a bunch of Cobras.

The NJ club usually had three TDs. Chicagoland had a couple.

I’m still planning on finishing the TD and flat towing her to Carlisle BUT…my schedule at work may have me in Cheyene WY that week. Not sure yet. Depends on when the aircraft is available to us. But ‘m feverishly working away on the TD. Got lucky with the engine. It will not need to be align bored. All bearing lands are smooth and at +0.020. What I thought was a ridge in the #2 bearing land turned out to be a ridge of permatex. A little light steel wool took care of that. That leaves me with a few extra $$ to possibly have the machinist cut the case for a 1776. But will a 1766 be good with a single Solex 34PICT3 carb? Hmm…

It can be done, and has been–even in a Westy. (see the last post on this thread).

With some grinding and stuff the 34 can go on a 1915, according to this vid. Seems like a lot of work though when a two-bbl progressive can be had for cheap money.
