    @paul6221

    Recently purchased a mg based on a 1969 vw chassis.  Center hubs on wheels are 9 5/8″.  Cant seem to locate hubcaps without the vw logo.  Any ideas?

    Thanks

    Paul

    Here’s a rather lengthy discussion on hubcaps…

    As you will see when you read that thread, the probem is that we cannot find a current source for either Porsche style “nipple” hubcaps or VW style with the “flat center” without some other company logo.

    Dual post….sorry for the repition…I just want to make sure Paul6221 sees this:

    Damn…a light just went on.

    I’ve only been searching for VW Type 1 or Beetle hubcaps. Add “Porsche” to that search and what do you find?

    Smoothies:

    VW Flat style. They do have three holes drilled in them. I suggest calling to see how far apart those holes are, then checking the dimension on the MG center logo.

    Nipple style, without emblems, but they do have three holes drilled in them. I suggest calling to see how far apart those holes are, then checking the dimension on the MG center logo.

    SoCal has the same caps to fit the older five bolt wheels.

    Paul,

    Thanks for the info.  I will give them a call to see if they have 9 5/8″ caps.  Most of them I found are 10″.  Thanks again.

    @jebarry

    I have the flat V W hub caps with the Porsche medallions .http://www.socalautoparts.com/product_info.php/hubcap-bugsup er-beetle-flat-emblem-p-15447

     One of the medallions fell off on the trip home. And yes Moss MG TD hub cap medallions cover the three holes of the Porsche medallion’s holes . This one isn’t perfect ..so I will put it on the spare
