But just for the record. In 1979 I was 21. I built my TD in 1982. And my daughter was born in 1993.
So I think that is someone else’s family.
Unless….I’ve forgotten a lot more of “those years” than I care to admit! Maybe I have another family out there that I have no recollection of!

November 15, 2010 at 9:22 pm #242803I’m lovin’ that little kid standing up in the well behind the seats. No belts on anybody…and those wicked-cool leather RAF helmets.
OK, maybe that’s not Paul in 1979. It’s me in 2015.
Gotta find that movie. Watched “Two For The Road” w/ Karen last month and it almost broke us up. Total bummer of a film. Couple cool TD scenes though.

But she’s 17 now and three people don’t fit.
Of course, now I have to teach her to operate a manual transmission so she can drive the thing. 🙂

November 16, 2010 at 2:18 pm #242807Ahh the memories. My ribs still hurt from laughing so hard when I taught my son. One good thing is the VW transaxles can take a licking and keep on ticking.
