Hornes Diner on the corner of 301 South and 17 ( route to Va Beach ) on our way.Address is 25532 A P Hill Blvd, Port Royal VA 22535How are you guys coming down from the north? 95 south down to 17 or 301 south?Three of use will be meeting you guys along the way through Stafford/Fredericksburg if you do 95S or we can meet at Hornes if you come down 301.Vincenc, Ed…input please. We never did 301 before. Try it or stick to 95?

"Drive Happy"Hey guys, I’m going to go down the Delmarva. That’s going to shave an hour off my drive. It doesn’t sound like much but I’ll take it. I’ll see you all in VA Beach sometime Friday afternoon.

Bill, I think we did take 301 and 2 before, after some time on 95.
Looks like we can take 97 to Rt 3 and that turns into 301.Vicenc: it’s better to stick together. If you go down the DelMarVa and grab 301 to 50 over the Bay Bridge we could all meet Schu on our side and have lunch & drive on.Think on it.Vicenc, if you take 13 and the tunnel you’ll be alone. You’ll miss being in the parade with Schu’s party of three, Ed and myself. It’s quite a spectacle on 64 through Newport News into VA Beach.

"Drive Happy"Hey guys, If I take 301 across the Bay Bridge to 50 that adds another hour to the trip. I would be better to just go down 95 which only adds one hour. I hate to miss the parade but I’m towing the car anyways. After the beating we took on the drive to Pittsburgh and back for the PVGP we both decided that on long trips it’s just better to tow. It wouldn’t be so bad if we were staying the night on Saturday but, as it always happens, we both have commitment in Philly on Sunday so we have to hightail it back as soon as the show is over.

Hey guys, are we all planning to eat dinner, as a group, at Murphy’s on
Friday night?(It is where we ate for the other times we went to the VaBch show. And it’s a short walk.)
Any objections?
On Saturday night we all went to a casual (some would say crummy) place with good food which was also a walk. Does anybody remember the name of it?

Sounds good to me.
All I remember was it was seafood and tasty – a little farther walk but in the same general direction.Im remember both those places. Good. The seafood place I thought was one Roy’s son put us onto? But I must be remembering that wrong.

Is anyone bringing their wife?My friend Terry – hopefully bringing his early MGB is planning on bring his wife and I don’t want her to feel left out. He said she would be fine either way but just checking.They ended up having to get a hotel 1/4 mile up the street because ours was sold out. I found that hard to believe this time of year. Something else going on down there?Did you Northerners ever decide your route south?If you are coming down 301 we will meet you at Hornes Diner for lunch – just let us know your aprox ETAVicenc is bringing Charlene by the sound of his last postings.

"Drive Happy"I’m coming in by myself, as you know, Schu.
Recent shows there seemed to fall on the day of a running race. But our hotel was not busy. This year’s show, if I’m not mistaken, is a week earlier. So maybe something else going on.Halloween race of some sort, as I recall it. But who knows? I do remember being in some traffic & encountering a detour or two on the way to the airfield.
