My V8 Ford TDr runs 28 on the street. With the coil overs set to their softest setting this becomes quite a comfortable ride. The coil overs run 500# springs.

There are currently no listings for the front shocks for the 85 Chevette. The builder probably found a number that was close or was necessary to fit the build.
I can’t get the link to post, so just Google “Monroe shock size chart“. The mounting styles are at the end of the chart. Pick the mounts and then find the size you need, compressed and e…[Read more] -

FWIW…I have seen other TDr’s with that grille shell painted. It doesn’t look bad, just different .

I’d like to see more photos of this car. It looks like you’ve created the illusion of a center folding hood also.

I don’t recall wiring your car.

Interesting. It looks like you totally eliminated the wiper system as there are no wiper arm posts visible. As these cars are seldom driven in the rain, I approve. Nicely done.

Ryan, you’re going to need the make, as most kits use different grilles. Believe it or don’t.

Well, I located the source of the play in my steering system. I had cross drilled the flanges of the new U-joints from Borgeson and bolted them fast to the shafts. Apparently bolts are a no-no. Spring pins seem to have tightened it up. Couple more items and we can take advantage of the unseasonable weather.

Holy Crap! Zippers are much easier.

I do not have a Dutchess, but my grille shell had three screws per side. There is a third one you access from under the fender. I’ve removed mine so often it now has zippers.

I still have to wire the fan but it’s mounted and the hood is painted and reinstalled.

I run a Fiberfab. I ran without a grille shell for a couple years because there were no replacements out there. New and used Grille shells for an original TD are available, however. You could probably adapt one of these to fit as I did by trimming some flanges and modifying the front fenders.

Finally got my louvered panel back from Kowalski. It’s not exactly what I had expected, but it’ll do. We had a weekend of unseasonably warm weather so I was able to spend some time beginning this process. The original (too small) engine cooling fan fits comfortably between the air cleaner and firewall and should help expel the heat this thing…[Read more]
