That would be great, Bill! Depending on where they are the 5:00 thing shouldn’t be a problem. Please, forward the info on so they can have it if they want to do it. Getting better by the minute!

We might have a fifth. I’ve been in touch with Donna (She and Matt showed up briefly at Carlisle two years ago with a red and black TDr.)
She says she’s off Saturday but has 5:00 plans. I said it won’t be a problem. I hope she says yes.

OK I will check that out.
Rain was just taken out of the forecast – lets keep it that way.
Looking forward to it

Here’s a map with the complete route for next Saturday’s cruise. http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/1264290082. Charlene and I just got back from doing a final run on the route and it was perfect day for it.
The total loop is 82.86 miles. Photo stops, the breakfast stop at the Goose Creek Grill and the lunch stop at the Whip Tavern are mar…[Read more]

I’ve said this before but it was a while ago, so I’ll repeat: The TDr is cooler than the Cobra replica and the Speedster replica. It’s not only rarer—a plus at any car show or on the boulevard—it’s also more pedestrian. It’s a $5,000 copy of a $15,000 car. That makes it cooler because it’s not at all about status (which, let’s be real, both the…[Read more]

You got it, Jack. The sender location, and the accuracy of the gauge matter. As does out tendency to worry.

Glad that worked out, Jack. And thanks for the good info. I’m sure you’re not the only one who overthinks things to the point of screwing them up!

Sorry for your loss, Rick. We’re with you, and glad you can be with your mom right until the end. I lost my Dad on Father’s Day, 2006. He’d forgotten my name just the week before that. It was a long, strange trip.
We’ll remember them, and others will remember us. Look forward to your new car–she’ll be all new with a new name, and a named spare…[Read more]

Ball joints now completed today.
Will take a run tomoorrow or Monday to verify my ride is good to go.
Needs a service as well but will get to that – looking forward to the nice Fall weather for country cruises – the only thing about Fall is the thought in the back of my head that winter is not that far off.

I once needed a coil. Borrowed it from a fellow VW person. And my voltage regulator (in)famously failed on the way out to Pittsburgh a few years back, but the P.O. had thoughtfully stowed a good one under the passenger seat, so no problemo.
