You can thread the aluminum hose through the pipes and then through the hole in the tin. The pipes crush it a bit, but it works OK. Use the silvery stuff. I had mine on for years and it did not burn.

Looks like you’re doing what I did, Jim. You uploaded the pics and then grabbed the url from the browser window on top. That don’t work. But if you right-click the photo you’ll get a little menu which includes the url. THAT’s the one to paste into that “source” pane here.

The good news: it’s only fiberglass. Some cloth, resin and a squeegee, then some sandpaper, and you’ll be good as new.

Pre 1934 to race…not to watch

I missed the part about pre-1934.  It looks like we might be out at the Cecil Kimber thing too because the site says it’s “(o)pen to all British cars classic and modern.”  

I mean to do it every year the past few years and always forget. It’d be way cool to show up as a “club” in more-or-less period dress, English style.

It is not unusual for old clutches that have sat for a long time to stick. This might take some doing. Some people have broken them free by putting the car in high gear and rocking it.
