Bottom line: try not to worry too much.
My experience with a somewhat rusty pan is that the doors more or less fit OK. The passenger side is a bit “sticky” if left unused for a time. The torsion housings are as follows: Front: the two big (2 1/4 inch? diameter) tubes, one atop the other, separated by a few inches of space, which run crosswise behind… -

Whelp, Shutterfly chewed on the pictures for 4 hours and then froze. So I will rebuild the calendar & try again.

Thanks for your efforts Ed.
I guess I don’t need to take pictures to get in a calendar. -

I think the center of gravity on these cars is well below the tops of the tires (2 feet off the ground). Probably more like 14-15 inches in a VW-based car. It does make for a naturally good chassis design and its why you can keep up with pretty much all the LBCs of the 1950s and ’60s pretty easily.
They do lose traction though: VW-based TDs tend to… -

OK so my usual Cafe Press system seems to be shut down. I can’t find a spot on their web site where you can make a calendar with more than one page of pictures. I’ve got it uploading to Shutterfly now and will let everyone know how to order.
They’re asking $25 a pop plus, I’m sure, shipping. I feel like these ought to be cheaper but it is what it is. -

Make sure the preheat manifold is not rotted out. Mine was–and hidden behind one of the air hoses that comes up through the tin on each side of the engine, so I didn’t see it. She’d backfire like crazy on decelleration until we patched it up with tape…
