Vids= a must. I have a decent Canon DAT camera and a (very cheap, crappy) one that records to a chip. What I’d like to have–and don’t (yet)–is one of those “Hero” cams that shoots wide angle alla time. People wear those and they make hella nice vids.We will find a way to get vids on this–our own, not proprietary Carlisle events vid.

And . . . done. I used stick-on velcro. And yeah, took the last bit of rope out, refolded, trimmed. Here’s the side I shot with Duplicolor. Looks a tad better than the door top, which has some fisheye. I guess I’ll have to get to work with the wheel if I ever want it to look as good as Schu’s or Roy’s.

 Bill, For some reason I thought you raced Saturday morning along w/ Ed? Anyway – I guess I will keep the hat and loan if anyone has a big head like mine. I think we should all do it the same time for support – I know I will need it. They are doing the Friday night downtown thing again this year – I may give that a try if anyone else is up to it.

As I did last year, I’d like to run on Friday afternoon when I arrive. Then if I break it, I have time to fix it. I don’t foresee a problem, but I an a firm believer in the principles of Murphy’s law. I think that’s where the Boy Scouts came up with “Be Prepared”

Just chiming in here: Looks like we gots ourselves making for the First Annual TD Replica AutoCross Tournament, featuringBillMoiRoySchuPaul(?)In which, if everyone races with all the vigor and gusto of which they are capable, I expect to come in last. But I will look damn cool doing so!

They don’t check that close at Carlisle. Its mostly for fun there. If you plan to run a “real” ( serious points event) SCCA AutoX event, they will check the spec. I had to retire my full face when they upgraded the spec.

Ha! Stitching? We ain’t got not stinkin’ stitching!The welting is already between the ‘glass and the wood. On the originals it folds under and, I assume, gets tacked to the back of the dash. I went to Morgantown this morning. First AutoX of the season. Roy, much older folk than you running. My son was running his VW. I went to say hello to my helmet. I ran there last year, lots of room and quite fast.
