There are several configurations of bulbs that are used in those gauges. Short round glass or long narrow glass is available. Both styles have different candlepower rating. Take the number off the base of the bulb with the proper illumination you like, and put that bulb number in all the other gauges.

Ms. November, Bridget, is a 1981 BCW assembled on a ’69 VW pan. Her engine is vintage 1966. The photo was taken at Mariner Point State Park in Joppa, MD with a Nikon Cool Pix.

Yeah, what hubcaps are those? I’m thinking those Nissan 4 bolt wheels will be good on any of the front engine cars–though a little too wide for us V-dubbers.They’re very junkyard-findable. But I’d not seen those hub caps.
