I’m getting a real education here.  What threw me off was my assumption that the Lafer was the only TDr without the bracket connecting the headlamps to the fenders. 

It was on a flickr slideshow “MGTD”.  I know I’ve seen it before.

I like the color scheme, though, and, as Paul pointed out, it wouldn’t take a lot to get it into nice shape.  What has me a bit baffled is that the clutch pedal seems to hang down.  I thought the VW pedals all hinged at the floor.

Jack,I’m not sure whether I’d posted this picture before but here’s how I handled my space issue.  The building inspector insisted on a support for the stairs and I made sure the contractor installed the support far enough to the right to leave me just enough room to park the TD (with a bit of maneuvering)  and still be able to open the man door.-Dave
