If you can not find a original frame some were then you might check with the Speedway catalog, some of the American roadsters and hot rods had fold down frames. They also sell the hardware with it. Plan on spending a few bucks and a lot of modifying ( but it is worth it ) Bill

DanIf you have the boat type top that came with the kit,or the kit wind shield you may not be able to install them. Most of the items can be found at Speed Way motors.A motor, arm, and blade is $29.99,the catalog also has wind shields and other goody’s in it.Good luck. Bill

Thanks All.I am now removing the boat latches and hinges from the hood and have already removed the towel bar from the front, they are a bit hokie to say the least. I have thought about moving the look a like gas tank back about 2 inches for more engine room, that would be a easy change. I have also put spacers under the tire rack that lift it…[Read more]

The old Bimini boat frame is coming off and I am making a folding frame as on the 1952. Ihave found some great pictures of the frame and it looks fairly easy toreproduce as it is made from flat 3/4 inch steel stock, a…[Read more]

My dash is out and I am building a center as on the real 52, but instead of brass I will use abalone, you can check with Alsa Corp on there FXsheeting, it is great stuff. The nice thing is…[Read more]

LarryThe cowl had a flat raised spot on each side and a 1/2 inch by 3X1 1/2 steel insert bonded in.After removing it I shaped the sides to fit with glass and also glassed the under side. I will use backing plates when I install the unit. My surprise was when the square was removed the wind shield fit to a tee. If I had not found the 52 windshield…[Read more]

I lucked out and found a complete 1952 frame with side mounts on e-bay, now must have it chromed and add glass. After looking at the side mounts I think with a few mods they could work with the fiberfab frame.Nice car you have there. Good luck. Bill

Just a note on what I have planed for my MiGi kit. I just bought a complete 1952 MG windshield with all brackets less glass, I will have to have it chromed first before installation. I also will add a fuel cap on the engine cover left side as on a real 52 MG, and last I am working on a dash center and am cutting it out of a door kick plate from…[Read more]
