Brooklands screens are easy to source but not for $60. Nice score Vicenç.

Ground (GND) to ground. Positive (red, +) to key switched +. Lights are a + wire from the dash lights or the headlight switch. Finally the green or signal wire goes to the negative (-) terminal on you coil. done.

I did not replace my in-tunnel line but when I installed the Subaru engine I ran new fuel injection hard lines front to back—fuel and return. Since I was not taking the body off the pan I ran the lines through the interior of the car low on the passenger side of the tunnel.
Shocking? Well, actually, that is how Subaru did it:
I ripped out t…[Read more]

edward ericson replied to the topic Has anyone converted to a MG TD Windshield? in the forum General Discussion 3 years, 11 months ago
Adapting the CMC frame and glass to the MG fold-down mounting system is probably doable but will also probably entail quite a bit more labor than you at first would think. If you do it, by all means document your process!
Adapting the CMC folding top to the MG pin-and-clamp header support would undoubtedly be even trickier.

My car came with a TD-like windscreen. It is very similar to an original but not quite the same size—slightly narrower, as I recall. My car’s scuttle did not have the molded-in “plinths” for an extended windshield frame, If yours does have those, you’d have to shave them and reshape the scuttle for the MG windshield mount. Then you (probably) h…[Read more]

Well there’s another Carlisle show in the history books. The weather was perfect and I think most of us had a pretty good time. It was great to see Bill and Audrey with their new (two years old to them) green machine, and Bill Ascheman with his race MG’s cooling problems sorted.
It was also great to meet Gary and Doreen Wilson of upstate New…[Read more]

Muster up, gentlemen. And remember to let Alan know on the Speedster forum thread (click that link!) if you’re coming to the banquet. Karen and I are already booked.

The Spyder is going to be housed in Building T on the fairgrounds. Not sure just when I’m heading up but I might do Wednesday and then drive it over and drop it off there Thrusday a.m.
Currently re-doing the brakes after a mishap. New MC supposedly on the way.

Glad to hear it, Bill!
Everyone: I am setting up two nice cruise routes for the group. They will both be at each person’s discretion, rather than trying to do a mass ride. The first one hits covered bridges and a winery. The other one is TBD.

That should do it. But why did you locate the new filler so far from the old one?

Nice! Alan Merklin is going to be collecting the banquet money this year. He’s away for the week and will get back to us on his return.

Also: when purchasing your showfield sticker please check off the Speedster Owners Group under the “Affiliated Club” dropdown. That builds out head count and gets us a free canopy and chairs at the event.

Carlisle is happening this year. We are moving back to the old hotel.
There will also be a Saturday banquet option for those who want (highly recommend). Dinner is going to be $60 a head for a pretty impressive menu in a really nice place. Details to come.
