just mounted the roof rib mounting plate and tucked lead edge into windshield frame. Vinyl is about 5″ from body.Even with Ferrari rake on the windshield. my plan is to lower the mounting plates.

I cut 1 and 3/4 inches  out of the column extender and raised the column to the bottom of the dash. seems comfortable enough. 5’11” 210 lbs. have the seat back just below the shelf.

took an inch and a half out of steering column extension, to get the steering wheel off my belly.  I have stripped the thread out of the knob for the seat back adjuster. As I rarely adjust the seat in my new car Don’t know if I want to go to the trouble of a fix. Does anybody use the seat back adjustment?

My seat base issue is the rearward angle. I did remake the bases from wood to the same measurements and angle as the original fiberglass bases with the modification described by schu. Would whoever gets these please make a plaster of paris mold of both sides or whatever copy material you can work with and preserve it till some one who knows of a home foundry can get a quote. I would volunteer but freight across the border is prohibitive.
