This problem is supposedly being worked on as we type. There is a way to post pictures but it is a bit complicated & clunky. Here’s the process, as of now:
- go to the upper right part of the screen where it says “Howdy, ricrx7” and hover your cursor there. You’ll get a dropdown menu.
- On the bottom of that menu, hover over “media.” That will…

Interesting. 3/4 of a 350. 200 hp should be pretty easy with that. This should get you started. I think the heads on those engines are the weak point, from a flow perspective, but 200 hp should be available with a small cam, intake and headers anyway. (Ah, wait! There’s an aluminum intake for the Vortec heads! Problem solved!).
The V8 guy has a…[Read more]

If I am not mistaken, the 60-degree GM six fits without taking the side panels off. I think you’re talking about the 3.4 liter? (Not 4.3)? That’s a stout engine for this size car and I believe there is a 4 barrel manifold available.
As for the wheels: You have a Chevette bolt pattern with an adaptor that takes it to 4 x 130, the VW Beetle size.…[Read more]

Man, some people are never satisfied! I actually like the idea of a spare tire cover, Jack, but I think on a wire wheel the tire would be the only thing covered.
There is no reasonable way to make a luggage rack work with the wire wheel; the spinner sticks out too far. Only thing I could see happening would be one of those fold-down “low shelf”…[Read more]

Decided to mod my spare tire carrier to accommodate the knock-off wire spare. It was easy enough that when I was done I decided to complicate it.

Good on ya, Jack. No new news on the fender stretch since the last update. I’m pretty confident I’ve got this in hand though (finger’s crossed). Hope to get a little more done this week, between Christmas shopping/wrapping/delivering goodies & etc. Will update again if I do.

Good on ya, Mickey! I’m sure you already know how rare and sought-after the Victor TF kit is. There’s a guy round my neck of the woods with one. From the MG Experience board I know there’s a guy in Colorado with one he just finished a few years back. With the exception of the afore-mentioned octagonal gauges (unobtanium) and the way the bonnet…[Read more]

Jes, I think we’d all love to see photos of your handiwork. It sounds fantastic, and I bet a lot of us would love to rock an Airline Coupe style TD.
But we’re all pretty much cheapskates.
I say post what you have and try making the sale from there. You never know what will catch some guy’s fancy.

Hmmm. Thinking about it more, this may be in contention.

Gonna rattle can them, I think. Duplicolor makes a match for about $10-$15 a can. Probably take 4 cans.
If I find a really nice, not too-expensive paint sprayer (SATA, say) before mid-spring I may shift focus.
