Ed, all I can think to say is “WOW”. 

Sounds like it would be fun, but maybe on a smaller scale.  I looked into some local rally’s end of last summer.  Most are just 3 or 4 hours.  May try a couple this year.

Ed, dash looks great!!  Let me know when you want to do mine.. I was lucky to get the stereo in.  I thought that was a big job, a complete dash, Not sure I’m up for that. 

Wish I could do it.  Doubt if I will ever get there, it sure sounds good, though. 

Welcome MGLR.. I’m with the others too.  My longest trip to date is about 3 hours with lots of stops to stretch my legs, but then I’m 6′ tall and almost 60.    I would tow it home, a VW style tow bar is fairly cheap and just slips on the lower tube of the ft axle.  Either way hope you have a safe trip.  Montie

My ride Saturday got cut short, (didn’t make it out of the driveway) fuel line was leaking???? Mine is made from seat belt materal mounted about 1 ” below the upper hindge.  1 screw each side. 

For the center caps on mine.  I made 2″ round black plastic caps out of some old storage bin dividers with a hole saw.  Glued the MG emblem to them and then stuck them on the hub cap with double sided foam tape.  Kinda makes it a pain when I want to change a tire, but the roll of tape is cheap and holds very well.  I tried magnets and they did…[Read more]
