When I first bought my TD 3 years ago I was getting an average of 30-32 mpg.  I had the valves adjusted 3 months later and then I was averaging 28 mpg. I just had major work done on my engine last month including a carb rebuild. Now I’m averaging 24 – 27 mpg. Go figger.

I had the same result. I spent a lot more money than you did, and found that the originals were brighter.

Funny you mentioned that Ed. I pulled up to stop light yesterday and a woman who was to the right of me and further up, actuall backed up and asked me what year the car was. I told her 1952. She then asked if it was a Rolls Royce. This is the 3rd time people have asked me that since I had it.

I didn’t think it worked that well for scratches on the gel coat, but worked great getting scratches out of the window curtains and rear window.

Just my 2 cents. My TD has a fake tire cover, no vents. I’ve driven over 20,000 miles in the two years I’ve had it. In weather that was in the 80’s and 90’s to cold weather in the 30’s. I’ve never had a problem.

Ordered 12/6 got it on the 14th.

When I bought my fog lights, they were 100 watt bulbs. I had to add a relay into the circuit because the fuse in that circuit got so hot I would instantly get burned when I touched it. Even so, I changed the bulbs to 50 watt. The fuse no longer gets hot.

I have amber fog lights, and I use them as driving lights. They’re on all the time day or night. Like driving a motorcycle, I want to be seen. For me they’re more for safety than for seeing ahead on the road.

Not the prettiest, but as far as I’m concerned safety comes first.

I noticed your from MA. I am also from MA. Do you keep this bubble outdoors? If so how does it stand up to the snow?

Ahhh! She’s awake. Good weather this past week has melted most of the snow and the TD has emerged from hibernation to once again ride. More rides tomorrow and next week. She also gets fresh oil and valve adjustment next week. Taking advantage of every good day.

I use dryer sheets. The kind you put in with your clothes in a dryer. The smell keeps them out. Or you could try mothballs, they say that works well also.
