Thanks for the suggestion dbrock.I always click the “Active Topics” link at the top. That displays all new posts since the last time you logged in. But you are right. Others may use the forum differently. SO I’ll copy the initial post and lock it so that any conversation happens in this thread.Thanks.

Hi gang,One thing, let’s try to keep the conversation here and avoid the new forum until we really need it.Hopefully this site will remain up. No sense duplicating things until we actually lose it here.

Hi gangI already saved copies of every page on the site and all the manuals from the download page. I also copied the Registry thread as of today and Mark’s VW Front suspension thread.I have NOT copied any other major threads from the FORUM. And as you all know, there is a ton of stuff here.

Larry,”alpha-numeric” only means they want you to use letters and numbers, with no “special characters.I’m not sure if “case” matters. try doing your user id in all lower case letters and see if that works.

Giving credit where it’s due….

It is in the VW Based Kits section -
Paul Mossberg replied to the topic Dropped Spindles in the forum VW Based Kits 14 years, 11 months ago
Hi Allen,Actually the stock ride VW ride height is correct for most MG kits. However, if you soften the front suspension by removing torsion bars from the front beam, you need an adjustable front beam to RAISE the ride height back to normal after you soften it. So my answer to the lowered spindles is… “no”

Paul Mossberg replied to the topic wiring question in the forum VW Based Kits 14 years, 11 months ago
I agree with your first guess. Trace all those grounds and make sure they are clean and tight. After that I would go after the power supply lines, from fuse box to each device, maybe something is tapped in after the fuse box. Those two will keep you busy for a while.

Junkman,You can go to the download manuals page and read through the body assembly instructions. That will give you a good idea how to “reverse” the process.
