Mark,
Yeah, this guy is a piece of work. I sent him several questions and a few comments re: Leather Interior, Wire Wheels, What the heck is under the hood. He could be trying to pull something over on potential buyers, but as I always say “Never attribute to Malice, that which can be explained by Stupidity”

Geoff,
Thanks for the compliments. The devil is in the details and there’s still lot’s of detailing to do!
Haven’t gone on any rides yet because it’s not registered/insured yet. Just ran it up and down the hill a few times. Runs really good. Smooth, quiet and plenty of zip.

Hi Dick,
I just did some nosing around on Ebay and found this.

Dimensions are not given and I don’t think this guy wants to sell individually. Anyway, hope this helps.

Larry,
Thanks. Lived here all my life. The house behind the last picture is where I grew up. Actually a lot of the snow has melted in the last few weeks. Been a long time since I’ve seen this much. Can’t wait until spring!!

All,
In case anybody is curious, my car is not registered. I just stuck my Dad’s old number plate (Antique 1032) in to fill in the space. The plate is from his 1927 Model T. Note that the last registration is dated 1973.
The model T is stored in the same garage as my MG. It had not run for about 15 years and I challenged my brother last fall to…[Read more] -

Larry,
I sent the seller a question as to whether it was an auto/stick. Glad to see he took the high road and added it to the info.
I was a Bug fanatic in the late sixties and early seventies. I owned a 65 microbus, 66 Bug, two 67 convertibles and a 73 Super Beetle. I never owned a Auto Stick Shift. Always seemed like a solution to a problem that…[Read more] -

Larry,
Also, weight is indicated at 3700 lbs. Is that correct? That’s ~ 1700 lbs more than my FiberFab and mine has a V6. Just curious.

Hi,
I’m finding that if I search Ebay using MG T Series, I always seem to catch a few that I didn’t see in other searches.
Check this one out. Don’t know where you’re located, but if you are in the vicinity of Maryland, you might want to look it over. Allison kits are really well built replicas.

Hi Bob,
Welcome to the Forum. I have to say that the info you will get from the club veterans is quite accurate. I have seen only one actual sale over $7K in the last several months. On the other hand I have seen few replicas for sale that match the condition and quality that you will find in the best of our members gallery. I don’t want to…[Read more] -

Thanks guys. Just didn’t know if anyone else had tried this. Big improvement, short money and easy to do. There were a lot of good tips on methods by just googling CUTTING LEXAN. Band saw would probably be the perfect tool, but I don’t own one.

Hi,
I’m just re-using the hardware that came with the FiberFab kit. The 90degree flanges with the two holes each slide into the slot on the Windshield frame and attach with screws and nuts.

Hi BigRaceDad,
You know, I follow the ads in EBay for Replicas and I had been looking at this one. Don’t know what it went for, but in terms of fun per dollar the price that I saw with a few days to go looked very good.
Once you get passed the grill, other parts should be more readily available. Being a VW guy, I’m sure engines are no mystery even…[Read more] -

68C10,
I forgot to mention, these wheels only came with the Ford/Chevy FiberFab kits. VW based kits had the spoke hub caps that fit on what I believe are standard VW 15″ wheels.
