If you have all the necessary requirements; time, tools, room, ability, etc, I’d say you’ve got a great find. Even if you spend lots for the grill, engine and other bits, it would be less than most.My favorite show is ‘Wheeler Dealers’ on the Velocity channel. If I’m not mistaken, is the dash on a London Roadster part of the fiberglass body?I thought about replacing mine until I took a closer look. I think the “wood” dash is either photo decal or very thin veneer.

I’ve lived in states that require safety inspections as well as those that do not.I HAVE noticed that in the states that DO NOT require inspections you see some cars that belong on a scrap heap, not the road. As I understand it, the problem was due mostly to the use of “positive earth” i.e. positive grounding as opposed to negative grounding. My first car, a 1964 MGBGT that had been converted from positive to negative grounding.I was told that with positive grounding, a series circuit was used. Personally, I like the sound of the engine on my LR.It has a nice throaty rumble.It IS more amplified with the top and wings up. Seems to box in the sound.
