Roy, I would love to be at Carlisle and was planning to to go but work says I need to be in LA that same weekend.So sadly, I will not be there.  But that gives me a year to prove in the new ride so next year I can make the drive.

Roy,  thanks for the pics and details but the Duchess engine cover opens the other way.  It is hinged on the bottom not the top.So I need something to keep it from over extending. I could put a stick on the ground underneath it but that just doesn’t see very stable.

Ahhhh….memories  :)There is light at the end of the tunnel.  The tunnel is 3 times longer than you thought and the toll to get through will bust your budget…but there is light.

Paul, great suggestion.  I never even gave a thought to something
binding up the steering column.  I think the simple box is a great
solution.
