I like your target destination. VA Beach. October should be comfortable topless driving temperatures. Pack sunscreen.

Coco Mats are highly regarded.
For a nod to (fake) authenticity I installed a genuine Moss reproduction driver’s side footwell matt in Bridget. (see item 5). -

The safest answer is: Neither. Any off the shelf mat will be a compromise fit. You might want to contact “Coco Mats” 800 461 3533 or cocomats.com. They will ask you to make a tracing of what you want.

Dave, you could spend Thursday night and Sunday night at my place in New Bern,NC. We are about 3 hrs south of Va Bch. It would break the trip up a bit and you could get a couple of good meals. (Julie was and is a helluva good cook.) Caravan up with Jack and I.

I found a new use for the cowl brackets.

Harness the cables for the requisite kill switch.

Original SS-100 wheels were 18 x 3 1/4 and 60 spokes. MWS can supply them, at wicked cost. If you run them you’ll be the coolest cat on the board.
FWIW, I suspect you could make it work with a set of Triumph bolt-on hubs, which should fit your Ford wheel bolt pattern. (4 x 4.5 inches). To me, it’s the only way to make the kit look “right.” But i… -

Time for TEA!!
Well yesterday I got my new replacement tea pot — Billnparts gets a silver star for finding a replacement — his wife gets a gold star for making it happen…!!!old, very dented and JB-welded one on the left vs. unblemished New Old Stock kettle on the right…and since it was at least 1/2 my fault for laying the “old” pot on the… -

In 1969 my ex almost gave away my almost new 1967 Pontiac Catalina Ventura when she flew out to Seattle to meet me as my “boat” (aka submarine) went into the shipyard. It was factory equipped Tri-Power 428 cu in 2 Dr “Hardtop Convertible” that was supposedly dropped (the Tri-Power option) from the Pontiac line in 1967.This was the “family car” as…[Read more]

Pretty sure Paul’s right. But, you should be careful and wary of the possibility that the prior owner may have changed things: Two years ago, I pulled my ’69 engine and when I went to install my new ’69 clutch disc, pressure plate and throw-out, discovered the tranny to be a ’71. Had to return and reorder – lost almost 2 weeks.

Value on a replicar is very subjective. Some of the pan-based Speedsters are changing hands for more than $20,000. Some of the custom tube-frame versions go for $60,000 or more. Of course, now that the car they replicate (and replicate quite well) auctions regularly for more than $300,000, even $30k starts to look like a deal, if you can forget…[Read more]

67 Nova SS, mild 350 and Muncie 4spd. My first car. Paid something like $850 for iron 1982, when it was a 6-cylinder/powerglide car. Sold it in late 2003 while looking for work. Think I got $3000 for it. If I had not sold it I would never have bought Bridget.
