My top must be built a bit differently.  I have no straps, but the bows are enclosed in pockets that are about 2′ long.  In other words, the top itself acts as the strap holding the bows in place.  

The ones on mine are adjustable. I’d be looking at camping gear and boat stuff for the requisite material and slide-stays.

Would it be possible to get a tracing of your glass? After three cuttings over the years my glass doesn’t fit as it should. It would be nice to have the next one cut at the original size.

TDr was born because MIGITD-R would not fit on my personalized plate whereas MIGITDr would.  But the state does not allow lower case and I thought it was important (at least to me).  So, in the end, I changed my mind and went with ” ’52 MIGI” for my plate.

I agree Bill.  The ride height is at least 2″ too high.  It looks to be a nice car, but I also agree with Paul – he’s got an attitude.  

The ride height is excessive. I showed the photo here at work and everyone asked if it was a 4WD conversion.

I’m using a hinged prop rod from first gen. Cavalier with a plastic retainer glued to hood center. Won’t drop or fall open.

Looks like a nice example. Lots of money and/or time spent redoing the interior. Great wheels.

Garage envy!  If someone gave me a garage that looked like that I could fill ‘er up no time flat.  Mess her up even faster.  I’m just not an organized, spit-shined-garage kind of guy.  As Clint said in one of the Harry movies:  “a good man always knows his limitations”.

Kent has it right. It should have been “lowered” to about the stock ride height. If your trailing arms are close to level then the car is close to the stock ride height. And that’s a good thing. You take it more than an inch and a half below that and you start getting complications, starting (not ending) with a need for new shocks.
