How did Abingdon do it then?

That’s some serious work there. You’ve gone so far as to mold in the interior kick panels to eliminate the need for the panels required for the carpet installation. This will be one solid ride. Impressive.

Yeah! Go, Doug, go!
Here’s the web site for MG Magic, which has many of the little Fiberfab parts from these kits.Lots of other stuff you can get from Moss motors, Abingdon Spares, Rimmer Bros. and several other venders of old British car parts. Check prices because they do vary appreciably. Also, for a lot of generic hardware, boat stuff is… -

Welcome Doug. We could “blame it on the bossa nova”……or maybe the burrito.
My experience is that the more pictures you post, the more help you will get. Many of us are old and can’t read very well but enjoy looking at the pictures and will make sure that you have the engine in the correct end of the car etc. -

I took out all the small leaves. This should be 12 small leaves. It leaves 4 large leaves in each beam. I know it sounds drastic. Just do it. The front end on my car went down about 1-1/2 to 2″ and the ride was dramatically improved. All aspects. Softer. Much better control in gusty cross winds. All’s well.

from my research the Danish floor pans are the thickest. J.C. Whitney has them the brand name starts with a k, klor some thing.

edward ericson replied to the topic Flimsy Floors in the forum VW Based Kits 12 years, 10 months ago
If you can move them easily with your hand then I think they might be due for replacement. Anyone disagree?
There are thicker vs thinner (cheaper) floor replacements. If I were doing it I’d probably spend the extra $50 or whatever for the thick (i.e., 19 gauge factory thickness, or thicker) ones. Our cars don’t have the structural rigidity of the… -
