@pmossberg only if it’s a custom part that’s already designed. That was the difficult part. The printing itself was easy!
@kms1 you can actually buy one for just around $250 these days that will print good enough quality for most things.
I’ve since designed and printed some “reducer” adapters so that my under-seat heater vents properly connect…[Read more]

There was a discussion started a few years back — https://tdreplica.com/forums/topic/led-parking-and-turn-signal-bulb-question— and revived last summer.
I replaced mine and the new one is 100x better. The “flashing brake” is really nifty for such a small vehicle. Increases the visibility of when you are stopping.

Last weekend when replacing the distributor on my TDr I managed to misplace one of the spark plug wire holders that keep the plug wires from wiggling all over the place. There’s two of these, one on each side, and they clip onto the fan shroud.
Fortunately, I got a 3D printer a few years back and have managed to get reasonably proficient at…[Read more]

Took my TDr off the jack stands for the season and installed a new “flame thrower” distributor and coil to replace a suspected faulty DVDA distributor. Wow. No more stalls at idle. I. can actually tune the carb and it has an effect! Feels like I have a completely different car. Took her our for a short drive around the block (about 7 miles in my…[Read more]

Well, that didn’t work well. Turning on the old one again. Will keep looking for something that works as the old one is no longer supported or entirely working.

I activated a new signup spam filter in hopes of slowing the number of fake registrations we get. Will keep an eye on how well it does over the next few days/weeks.
If you are trying to sign up and cannot, please do send @stephenhouser or @pmossberg a message.

@bebop Let Paul or I know what information you have on the manufacturer, dates, base car, etc. and we can include it on the MG TD Replicas page. If you have an assembly and/or owners manual to share, all the better! We can include it in the Library

Well, after applying the updates that I thought would have no effect, blamo! several of the pages disappeared. So I did the one thing you should never do in that situation. I applied more updates.
In the end, we are now running the latest WordPress (from above) and the blank pages are fixed. So scratch item 1 above, only the SPAM filter left to…[Read more]

I applied a few updates to the site’s plugins this evening and deleted a few seemingly spam registrations. There’s a few more updates that need to be applied but I wanted to warn folks first.
An update to WordPress itself to 4.9.3. The site might go down for a few minutes sometime next week.- We’ve been running with a discontinued SPAM filter…

@kall I edited your post to include the image. There’s a post in the how-to section on how to copy the image link address. It is kind of a pain. I’ve got a line on a better process but not sure I want to spend the club’s (recurring) money on it just yet.

Stephen Houser replied to the topic MG TD Allison engine removal in the forum VW Based Kits 7 years, 6 months ago
On my London Roadster (somewhat like a Daytona MiGi) only the rear bumper is in the way of pulling it straight back to get out. There is no “apron” around the bottom of the hatch that holds the spare tire. 1/2 the time I remove the bumper, 1/2 the time I jack it waaaaay up and slide it under.

b) can take a decent, straight-on, high-res photos of theirs that I might be able to make a copy of some sort from.
