Thanks, all, for the votes.
Yeah, Jack, I very much would like to show this car at Air & Auto 10 in October. I think some of the members of the First Settlers PCA would get a kick out of it. The stars may yet align.

WOW!!!!!!!
Maybe Va Beach this year????
BTW, I just cast my vote for the best ever really blue DIY car on the Pelican site…..
Looking forward to sitting in the driver’s seat — just to see what a Mega DIY project feels like from the seat of the pants.
Cheers,

Mentioned a while back that I was having heat issues with my cooling system. Hunkering down at home gave me the perfect opportunity to attempt a solution and I purchased an high performance 2 row aluminum radiator on Ebay. Radiator is for a 1992 to 2000 Honda Civic with automatic transmission. Also bought a 48 inch stainless radiator hose…[Read more]

I want to see this!
TB model

Is hard to distinguish from a TC
But of course the TD has smaller wheels and tires and somewhat wider fenders.

There are two good VDO rebuild places in CA, Palo Alto Speedometer and North Hollywood Speedometer. They specialize in Porsche gauges. Both are run by cats named Helmut and both do very good work for very much money. My guess is, if Shu could get either of them to take the job, they would take about three months and $600. He’d end up with the best…[Read more]

Spyder reassembly progress.
The floorpan is back in.
Glass windshield is on*; wipers wipe.
54 items remain on the punch list. Some of those are such chores as “VISIT MSP WITH DOCS FOR SIGN-OFF”
and “Get VIN/Title”
There are just two dozen discrete tasks ahead of those steps. I plan to knock about a half dozen off the list…[Read more]

Welcome aboard. I flew up to Seattle to pick up my first MGTD replica, a London Roadster on Port Townsend, Washington. I drove most of the 1,151 miles back to my house, with an new adventure every day. I got to within 50 miles from home when she needed a tow to get home in Phoenix, Arizona. It’s a trip that I won’t soon forget.

Thanks. The front end seems to be heaviest. Do you keep 28 all around?

My V8 Ford TDr runs 28 on the street. With the coil overs set to their softest setting this becomes quite a comfortable ride. The coil overs run 500# springs.

Hey Mark, In regards to your tire pressure. Its all about weight, and tire size. With the added weight of the V8, automatic transmission, and I’m guessing 16580R/15 tires. Up front about 32 to 35psi, and maybe 30 to 32 psi in the rear. If the tires are wearing excessive in the middle of the tread, you will want to lower the pressure, only about…[Read more]

My FiberFab car was featured in a TDR calendar several years ago. I’m trying to figure out what tire pressures I should be running in it. It has a V8 engine up front and an automatic transmission. If I recall, it has a Vega front end and a Nissan (Datsun) 260Z rear end. What else could help me determine the tire pressure for this car?
