Mark,
It has to be. It’s nothing we admins can control.
But, unless we have someone here that can rebuild the site, we might lose a lot of the pages, like the history, the manuals, the photo galleries.
And I have no idea how much web hosting fees would be elsewhere. -

Keep in mind that you CANNOT use a regular flasher with LED lights. They don’t draw enough current to make the conventional flashers work.
You need to buy an electronic flasher, some of which actually have a ground wire pigtail attached. http://www.rodworx.com

Paul, is it the site’s software or the server we use that lets the SPAM get through? If we got an new server provider would we be able to avoid this PITA???

When the brake and clutch pedal are not pressed in they should both be almost vertical and line up with each other. Not sure what your setup is. The pedal stop should be a nice bracket looking device that has an elongated hole to allow adjusting the pedal stop. Can’t remember if the pedal stop affects the clutch pedal.

i had to replace my pedal assembly .there are a couple posts and pics if you do a search on this site. found a good used one on ebay . basicly there are two different ones, early and late model. i think about 1968 and later have a mount for the gas pedal built onto it. that piece of “mangled angle” is used to keeep the pedals from falling f…[Read more]

jhbyrd,The brake pedal spring has a hook on one end and a straight end on the other. The hooked end goes over the brake pedal post like you stated. The other end either sits against the floor pan or like mine fits underneath the pedal assembly and the floor pan.

Many kudos for all of your efforts. I’ll bet that you didn’t know you would be “taking out the trash” when you took on this job!

I used the Moss Motors one for the TD. Bolts in at the bumper brackets and includes built-in foglight mounts.Might be a little more $$ than boat stuff, but not much, no cutting or measuring or drilling, and very durable so far.

Paul, keeping this site up and running for all of us to enjoy it is a lot of work. I’ve learned to spot the offending posts (it’s pretty easy) and just ignore them. I know you or someone else with authority will take care of it. Thanks for doing all of this work behind the scenes that keeps this forum for our enjoyment and learning opportunities.

I rarely have the top up, using the side curtains is even rarer. Although we do get some cool nights in the winter.

Hi Folks,I have received some inquiries from members, new and old.Because of our donations last year about this time, and more that came in during the year, we are good to go for the next year.I’m assuming our bill will not change by much for 2011 to 2012.If it does, I may be back. But for now, we’re covered!

Let me try this AGAIN…..Three of you kind hearted souls were kind enough to forward spam posts from this site to my personal email. In New Jersey!)Enough already!I get it!Really!Truly!I’m deleting dozens of spam posts each day. And…[Read more]

I can’t claim first-hand knowledge of other kit cars, although I’ve eyeballed a few over the years, but it’s hard to imagine one built with more rigidity or thicker fiberglass than the MP Lafer. Granted, it isn’t truly a kit car, but the principal — VW frame, floorpans & engine — was the same. My TI model has a one-piece body with a hinged hood…[Read more]

I heard of them about a year ago thought they were very pricey, for my budget anyway. I have less than 10% of the sticker invested Audrey, and I have air too. I think my next addition will be a Speedster. Always wanted one, so saving my pennys. Montie
