I think he means a tie plate, for joining and reinforcing dimensional lumber as used in structural framing.

I get the metal plate, grounded to the chassis. That is a great idea!
What does the “wood to wood” reference mean? -

I still suggest taking some measurements on YOUR car.
The two bus cables are over 15 inches different. Depending on how you route your cable, the difference could be significant. -

In the manuals in the Download manuals tab on the left, the manual for CMC Fiberfab suggests the bus speedometer cable and gives the length AND the VW part number. Cool beans huh.

I had’nt thought of doing that but it sounds like a great idea. That way you can do a one stop check on all of the grounds. But Im not sure I understad the tie plate you used.

Get the Orange book or blue book depending on year of motor. Also pick up a copy of John muirs book. These are priceless. And by all means don’t let fear slow you down. It can always be fixed and the people who origanally built these were on the most part no smarter than you or I. It is all very elimentary (Iknow Spelling) thats what I mean.

i used a metal wood to wood tie plate, its a galvainized flat plate with lots of holes screwed to the firewall so i can run all future grounds there and it is grounded with 12 ga wire to the frame. a good place to clip your test light when working under dash.

The Volks guys at The Samba swear by Brad Penn racing oil. I started using it last summer and my engine temp dropped 10 degrees. I think I will stick with it. High in ZDDP. I found mine at amazon.com. It depends on the vendor, but averages around $5.00 to $6.00 a quart. Heres a link http://www.amazon.com/Brad-Penn-10W30-Partial-Synthetic/dp/B 0…[Read more]

What Ed said is correct.
What I said is correct too.
The local photo management and editing software is NOT involved in the image upload process.
When you click the icon with the Tree & Arrow, a pop-up will open that is titled “Image Upload” with a white space and a “browse” button.

Click the browse button and a second pop-up will open that…[Read more] -

Look at the names your photos are given by the photo program. Mine get something like DSCN2076.JPGthe “.JPG” is what tells all the machinery what format the photo is saved in. –JPG is JPEG.I suspect the Kodak program is saving your pictures as GIFs or something else. The way to deal with that is to open the photos and click “save as” in the menu…[Read more]

No comprende! The program is where I have to go to get the photo to upload I thought. I have successfully uploaded all of the newer photos. and when I browse, that is where I go to find the files. I really would like to get better than I am at this. Could you suggest where I might get some reading material?
