I know just enough to be dangerous on this site. Maybe Paul Mossberg or another member can tell you how to shrink your picture posts. I ran into the same thing and FrankieD shrunk them for me a few years ago. I’ve not posted many pics since.

I think that since there are no up close pictures, no details other than “wood steering wheel” etc. this guy probably has no idea what he is talking about. He probably bought it from someone to try to re-sell for a quick buck. Sucks for him though, he’ll never get 10.5K for it.

Yeah, this guy is a piece of work. I sent him several questions and a few comments re: Leather Interior, Wire Wheels, What the heck is under the hood. He could be trying to pull something over on potential buyers, but as I always say “Never attribute to Malice, that which can be explained by Stupidity”

Also, you need to state whether this is a GM, Ford or VW based kit as all their fenders/running boards are different.

It also says it has spoked wheels and it has fake wire “baskets” and that it has a “leather interios”…I’ll bet it’s vinyl. None of the TD replica kit manufacturers ever offered leather.

You may have to swap the lower pulley on the crank snout too. It depends on what set up you get to mount the pump/reservoir. Of course you’ll need a V-belt to drive the pump too.

Your hot rods friends are correct…the OEM sender will not work with the Classic Gauges unit.
This is the precise reason I use mechanical, not electrical gauges in all of my cars. In addition to being hooked up mechanically, they are more accurate and work faster too.

Talked to some hot rod friends and they say that the stock sender won’t work with after market guages.  Testing the unit by grounding the wire when switch is on shows that guage and wiring is okay.   So I’ve ordered a sending unit and some bushings from Classic Instruments.
We’ll see. (they bet me a 6 pack they’re right!)

Thanks for the compliments. The devil is in the details and there’s still lot’s of detailing to do!
Haven’t gone on any rides yet because it’s not registered/insured yet. Just ran it up and down the hill a few times. Runs really good. Smooth, quiet and plenty of zip.

You’re right…that’s NOT how it’s done…GEEEZ!
It’s done by relocating the torsion arms on the splines of the torsion bars.
