I to thought about replacing my mechanical with a electrical mine is a VW engine . I was advised by someone on here not to do it stick to the mechanical I am glad I did .

Anyone who does not have trouble with the rear right hand bolt, as you describe, does not really have a Holley Bug Spray. An Allen head bolt will help.

Has anybody running the Edlebrock “Bug Spray” intake had a problem with wrench access to the rear right hand bolt? Originally mounted the carb to the intake when I installed it, now, with “Mrs. Peel” actually starting (but leaking gas) I decided to rebuild the carb. Glad youre mobile again. We dont have to have our cars inspected here in California as long as its pre 1975. Is the inspection process difficult where you are at? How often do you need an inspection?

I took a look at it this afternoon. They want $3K. It’s salvageable but there’s a lot of work to be done. This was an estate sale, the guy was kind of a hoarder and kept all kinds of records. Good to hear, Bill. 70s and 80s in Baltimore this week but I’m too booked-up at work to drive Bridget. I also took the rear drums off (finally) to R&R them…so she’s right now on jack stands until at least the weekend. Sigh.
