did you ever find a solution to your pedal placement issue.  I have a similar problem with my Ford based car.

Happy news, it was a bad muffler! Very happy owner. I am having trouble adding pics but will keep trying. I also have sloppy steering. Will pull gas tank to ck connections. Engine running great. Now on to other issues.Play in steering ( about an inch)Shift bushingWhen changing gears I feel a slight bump in the body. Any suggestions?Thanks

Took a lot of pics over the weekend as I did the rad mounts and wiring and stuff. Kept meaning to do a blog post but life intervened. The short version: Rads and fan are in, shroud is conceptually–not physically–done, but the wires are a worry.

I finally got her registered in VA. I replaced the distributor, new plugs, and am trying to cycle through the old gas before I take her out officially.  You may notice the Rondelles or “Meatballs” I added.
