    @pink-mg

    It’s been a hectic last two years with all the garabge that comes with an ugly divorce, but I am starting to make VERY slow progress on the Pink MG refurb project.

    The new leather seats and door panels have been done for over a year, but are not installed, I just got the grille shell, bumpers and bumper over riders back from the chrome plater, and the floor tunnel, steering column, engine and trans are removed. I had to remove the trans/engine to repair a broken speedometer drive gear (worm) in the transmission. What a nightmare, caused by a welded-in trans “crossmember”.

    I had to cut out and modify the transmission “crossmember” before reinstalling everything. It is now “bolt-in”. It’s also getting a new steering column, wiring, and mechanical Autometer Ultra-Lite gauges.  Maybe next year we’ll be cruising?

    I posted a pic of the trans mount. I don’t know how to shrink it.

    Hey, many of us have been there too.  There is life after Divorce…and getting to work on your car is a GOOD thing.  I enjoy the pictures too.
