there’s a v-8 victor tf on ebay today from ny. anyone looking for a rocket!!!!?
February 4, 2011 at 6:28 pm #243661I wondered if a v-8 would fit in one. Whew, tight fit.
February 4, 2011 at 7:33 pm #243662Wow,This would be a rocket ror sure!!! I don’t remember this company.Wonder if they built it with the V=8 or if the conversion was done by an individual? The headers under the fenders are a dead give away that it ain’t your normal MG.I know that the TF is rarer than the TD ,but I just cannot get used to the headlights molded into the fenders. To me it’s a mix of designs that just don’t go together.
February 5, 2011 at 11:07 am #243663Larry, I agree the TF’s never interest me either either. . Kinda like going from a ’57 Chevy to a ’58. I like them both but given the choice, I’ll take the “57. I have to wonder what kinda mileage that V-8 gets. Montie
February 6, 2011 at 12:33 pm #243664from what i’ve read, they were mgb chassis in tf clothing. maby a buick/rover aluminum v8 would be more civil. i often wonder why the original dash wasn’t reproduced in any kit car ive seen should not be difficult to do.
February 6, 2011 at 1:31 pm #243665The MG TF was a facelifted MG TD.
Mike is correct. The TF Victor was a TF replica using MGB running gear and a GM V8. Kind of a nice circle of life in automotive terms!
Been digging around for some info on the Victor.

I found some spec sheets in Spanish. They look to be just the spec sheets for the engine. If you are interested:

February 6, 2011 at 11:03 pm #243666The headlights had to change ,Lucas stopped making the buckets for the head lights,, Morgan had to change there lights also and they have not changed the look of the 4/4 since 1954. Dan
February 7, 2011 at 11:12 am #243667@mikeeva, re the TF dash… Not sure where one would source those octagonal gauges, except through Abingdon. I bet that’s the holdup.
