The Speedster guys did it a bunch of times too. Not last year, I think, but most years in September. One guy brought a Lafer one year, supposedly.
I hear you on the weekend prohibition.Β -

I wrote about some guys a few years ago who were doing that with houses. Three are in jail now, two on the lamb in (I hear Canada) and two more in Israel.
Really good idea though, and maybe not a felony if we don’t involve any banks. -

Welting on mine. The originals had no welting but a tiny gap to allow clear drainage. A thin plastic washer should replicate that.

I think they’ll like it fine. It’d be great to put it next to the “real” Vert “D” and compare notes.

Mine has a documented racing pedigree. Gotta make it worth more don’t you think?

I used some closed-cell foam floor mats from one of the home stores–the kind that come in 18-inch squares but with puzzle-piece edges so you can snap them together–as carpet padding and bought a roll of black marine carpeting from Home Despot–about $130, delievered, and enough to do 3-4 TDrs. The black low pile is not too far from what Abingdon…[Read more]

If you go onto the showfield on Saturday a.m. you can’t miss the speedster group. We’re right there with them. You’ll get some cell phones ahead of time. I suggest you try to get a room in the SoC hotel. I posted the info in another thread. And don’t wait until two days before. Do it now. You can back out closer to the date if need be.

If the Columbus boy can’t attract women with the TDr it’s him–not the car. They always, always at least look.

See? This is the problem. You guys need to hold firm on your prices, otherwise you’ll be letting ’em go for $3,500 just like always.

The bare light bulb on the top of the column and the use of a lug nut for a turn signal stalk knob are definitely unusual touches. I do like the removable rear window.

Very nice, Paul. Congratulations. Do you have enough room in your garage? I know it’s large, but is it large enough?

Gorgeous car, Traitor.
So we’ll have one less TD at Carlisle then? Or you gonna tow it with the Porsche? -

I took the trim rings off last year for the auto X & had a hard time getting them back on. Hard enough that I started to like the look without them better.
I used the “old school” ones that fit down below the weight lip. Stainless, and expensive so, given the amount of time they were on the car, probably not worth the money, in retrospect.I might… - Load More
