Grind as in “shave?” I salute the DIY notion but . .. .Very close to the red/green rethread-your-own-tires skit. No performance shops around that could shave them for you? Or is that one of those “might as well buy new for that price” deals?

I think MG Magic must resell Moss stuff.Moss was also cheaper on a Mosom car cover.BTW: For chrome polish, we Brits swear by AutoSol. It’s German but you can still find it around (Ebay?)

This is the event I’m shooting for. The chief safety steward here also builds cages and today I managed to get a phone number from him. One step closer.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yo5qP0qglPo

I heard a rumor that there was a small manf working out of SW Penna in the 70’s & 80’s. I think someone told me McKees Rocks, which is part of Pittsburgh. I’m wonder if it could be one of these? I thought that the “TD” badge on both the grill and the steering wheel might give it away.

That is negative camber. That’s OK in small doses. Sloppy or “loose” feeling is not though. Keep after it.

Hi Paul:Here are some pics that might help identify my TD manfSo far I’m told that the seat config points to Fiberfab but I have no Manf mark.Things that could help1) The grill shell and steering wheel have “TD” on them2) Dashboard is very simple not like original config.3) I have a 5 gallon gas tank which is under a fitted compartment in…[Read more]

Only one wheel out back has positive camber?
That might be bad. They should both be close to straight up and down when the car is unloaded. Mine both have a pinch of negative camber as she’s on the low side. Seems fine for no (The spec for IRS cars is a little more than 1 degree negative, plus or minus 45′) but it’s something I’ll be addressing… -

Right!
clutch slipping–you’d smell that, I hope.Bad speedo?–two bad speedos bad in the same way? not likely. But a bad speedo cable with a rounded off square key at the hub? That might read equally screwy on two gauges. Here are your gear ratios in handy chart form. a final drive ratio of 3.67 to 1 is your most likely setup. Looks like it would… -
