Do a forum search for “How much does my TDr weigh”

Wow! That would be rare. Please post pictures. I don’t remember transverse leaf front end except on a Model T, but I was really only interested in the less expensive imported European cars.

Schu, Yeah, I got him. Actually “the list” can be found on the “entry list” in the upper right corner of the following page: http://www.motorsportreg.com/events/air-auto-classic-6-military-aviation-museum-pca-first-settlers-059574#.Vb6iy0r3aK0

As of this afternoon, we have 7 TDr’s registered for the show. That ties the number we had 2 yrs ago. We need to get one more undecided to register and we’ll set a new record. Paul?

There’s an old sailors expression that I am fully qualified to use:….”any port in a storm”.

Jack asked me about this about a week ago. I sent him the following link and my opinion that if he really wanted to beat the Chevrolet C10 panel van that beat him in the Carlisle autocross :-), he could probably spend his time and money better in other directions.

Steve, welcome aboard. I am not a London Roadster owner so I will leave it to one of them to answer your car specific questions. As a new owner, the very best advice I can give you is to go get a glass of water (or whatever) and settle down in front of your computer for a long session of reading past posts on this site. You will spend your ti…[Read more]

Schu, Jack and I had a serious discussion last week and decided that the group needed some adult supervision. Jack was going to come along but thought it was too much responsibility, so I agreed to come and assist. We’ll see you there…..and don’t forget that I talk with Santa Claus often.Paul, I too think that if you bring the IM, you should…[Read more]

Can I get a head count of those planning to attend? It’s getting to be that time when I start talking to George, of the PCA, about preferred parking at the grassy edge of the tarmac. Last year he was planning a “SPECIAL” trophy for Tdr’s ….but then we all bailed in a big “no show” so I’m not sure how much credibility I still have. So far, I…[Read more]

Royal replied to the topic Banjo type steering wheels in the forum Chevy/Ford Parts Wanted 10 years, 10 months ago
If you search old posts you will find that there has been volumes of information regarding steering wheels for our Tdr’s. I am one of those people who went through this exercise of trying to find the right wheel for my Tdr a few years ago. In my opinion there are really too many variables for one to order (from a catalogue) and be happy with it…[Read more]

To my knowledge, only Lafer did not have “suicide” doors. It looks to me like the builder or some prior owner re-hinged them to open from the rear.

I too also wanted a banjo wheel but finally settled on something else. I tried many different wheels including a Flat 4 banjo. The Flat 4 was too big for me in my MIGI. It almost touched my thighs. You may want to consider raising your steering column. It isn’t difficult and would give you better visibility of your gauges. (If you do this,…[Read more]

Be advised that the bridge-tunnel toll for flat-towing across is $22. ….of course, you could take out a second mortgage.

From one of the event organizers this am:Thank you for your past support of our charity car show. Your attendance helped make each year better than the last. Air & Auto Classic 5 in 2014 raised a record $8500 for charity. We’re shooting for $10,000 this year, so we welcome you and your family and friends to come out and help us meet that g…[Read more]

Royal replied to the topic defroster in the forum VW Based Kits 10 years, 10 months ago
I think you will be very disappointed with how well they work. Suppose you hook it up to and it draws 20 amps. Then it would be producing 20×12 or 240 watts of heat. This would be approx 1/7th of the heat of your home hair dryer. They kinda work, a little bit. Very little.
