There are a few cars with bucket seats. On a VW pan-based car, the tunnel spreads out toward the back and makes it hard to fit a wide seat and impossible to move it further back, but you can lean it.

Check the connections before replacing the switch. Grounds are gremlins on TDrs.

Also make sure the car is actually shifted into reverse. When I was putting together my Spyder the backup light gave me a heart attack when it wouldn’t work despite my shifting it into reverse to test. I checked the light, the wires, connections and even the switch…[Read more]

Glad you found it! Accessing the MC on these cars can be tricky and it’s also true that there as many styles of rig connecting the pedal to the MC as there are TDr manufacturers.
