The weight in the front is for balance and steering. Can’t turn a corner if you don’t have enough weight for the front tires to grip.

Southern Tier NY made out pretty good. Minor wind and only about 1,000 without power. Won’t take long to get back to normal.

Got everything secure here. Food and gas for the generator. Planning on about 3 day’s without power. Can go longer if I must. Won’t have heat , but it’s only going to be in the 40’s . Chainsaw is ready if I have to cut my way out of here.

using a higher octane gas than is needed , only waste money. If an engine is designed for 87 octane, using 93 octane does not improve the engine’s performance. It will not hurt the engine either. The corn juice is a different story. Corn juice is not good for older motor’s that have a carburator. I don’t see it as being good for any car. It…[Read more]

A flat tappet motor needs ZDDP oil. Many companies make it. I wonder who Hemmings gets their’s from? They don’t make it themselve’s. A good ZDDP oil designed for flat tappet engine’s will work. I did notice that after I changed my oil for the first time , the engine seemed to run much smoother. The prior owner was using standard 40 weight oil.

Wish all stations would have this, I treat all my gas with sta-bil , that has ethanol. One of the worse parts of ethanol is that it draws water to your gas tank and not good for the carburator.
