Matt,
Have you taken a look at the University of Memphis Law School? It is a great school, walking distance from Beale Street and the Gibson factory, which is one block over from my office building. I live seven minutes from the law school in a historic midtown district near Rhodes College. Across the street from me is a very nice home being r…[Read more] -

I am headed to a hot rod / car show in Bartlett, TN this evening. It usually has a couple of Cobras (replica), a dozen classic Mustangs, a couple dozen hot rods of various ages, lots of Chevy’s, Corvettes and Corvairs. Last Thursday there was over 100 cars. I am yet to take my MGTD replica to the weekly event, it would be the only one there. There…[Read more]

Looks super! Nice spinners
I had changed my radiator logo to MG also. Found the MG emblem on ebay also. I had a problem with mine turning on the single bolt mount, so I had to apply some double stick on the inside. I had it tight, but it would wiggle until it was crooked. It stays put now.Beautiful auto Red MGTD

Thanks guys. I had heard that boat dealers use diluted muriatic acid to ‘freshen’ boats and remove all sorts of stains. I had heard that Oxalic acid is the prime ingredient in Barkeeper’s Friend. I’ll start with Oxalic and if that doesn’t get it, I’ll check with Dan about how to dilute the muriatic acid. Thanks a million,James

WOW, some of those are awesome…..some not so much. I really like the Ford one…too bad it doesn’t say MG.
I have always liked this one as a hood ornament. MOSQUITO, our state pest.JasCochran40428.7412962963

Ed,
I seriously thought of a Sharpie, but then figured I’d sneeze – oops, so then I thought of pinstriping, figured it peel off. I like the Rotozip idea. My Dremel will probably die half way thru, but the Rotozip should be good to go. -

I like your idea much better. Is this is about what you’re thinking about? Hey Shades of the Past….sounds like lots of fun!

Dan,I had thought about doing the same thing with my side panels. Here is a site that has a fiberglass hood with louvers. The photo of the underside appears like the glass has been ground down from the underside until the openings appear. That was the process that I was thinking about doing. I was thinking at the time while my side panel was face…[Read more]

Kevin,
The spinners that I have on my car came off of ebay. In my photos, the photo on the Blue Ridge Parkway has the Western hub covers that came with the car. I changed those out to the spinners you can see on the later photos. My ebay spinners look real deal, but are actually Cragar fake spinners with a center threaded rod. Originally they…[Read more] -
