I doubt the problem is the vent. The fill neck has a 90* angle right at the tank. You’ve got to nurse fuel in or the auto shutoff on the gas pump nozzle clicks off. There are some local stations I cannot use because it constantly shuts off. Also, make sure the clamps on the fill neck hose are tight. The vent line that goes to the front was used for emissions on the donor car. If the carburetor was changed it was simply disconnected.
Looks like that huge hole going to the tank even making the 90* turn would carry the fuel. Mine actually pushes fuel up past the nozzle and out the filler neck unless I barely dribble it in, very aggravating. Do you have the vent in the filler neck and is it vented to atmosphere? If so I suppose I guess it is just something I’ll have to live with
November 6, 2017 at 5:35 pm #304258October 23, 2017 at 9:18 am #304217The car is in my shop and I can’t get far enough away from it to get photo of both fenders at same time. Maybe it has been like this all the time and nothing is wrong. I’ll post back when I get it all together and see if they rub.

October 22, 2017 at 11:04 pm #304215I had thought about that but those bumper extensions are what the bumper bolts to. I am thinking if I move one of them up then my bumper will not be level. However I just thought that you could move it up and then make the bolt hole for the bumper slotted so that end of the bumper could be lowered to correct position.
August 25, 2017 at 6:44 pm #303950I got the grill out, those 4 bolts did it. I replaced all the grill bars with golf club shafts. I know they are round and not like what was originally in the grill but a MG replica by it’s nature isn’t original. I think the round shafts look good and certainly a lot cheaper, cost was zero. See photos how I attached them. Talking about photos I am unable to insert a photo. When I try I lose everything I had there and only the inserted photo is all I end up with. I found out I can edit it and add 1 more with each edit. Is there any other way to do this?
August 19, 2017 at 1:48 pm #303918August 13, 2017 at 5:25 pm #303864This is how I fixed it, bolted corner braces to the top part then put rivnuts on the side to attach the top with the corner braces installed
August 11, 2017 at 11:05 pm #303853Yes, very helpful.
Thank you
August 10, 2017 at 10:54 pm #303844OK I’m sorry I didn’t say it wasn’t a vw kit, I assumed everyone would know since it is posted in the Ford/Chevy forum. Could someone post a photo of how they have attached that and it still be removable and strong enough to hold that heavy tire and wheel. I don’t see anything by looking up from underneath to fasten it to. I’m thinking using 4 corner braces just bolted to the fiberglass. I don’t see any way to put nuts on bolts for 2 upper corner braces from underneath. Some one has put speakers in the back and I removed one and I can get to bolt to put nut on from there. Any better way?
August 9, 2017 at 8:38 pm #303832May 29, 2017 at 5:29 pm #303642I have been thinking and looking and it dawned on me that when sitting in the seat my knees bend way in front of the seat. That made me think I could reposition the seat forward without giving up any of the little precious little room I have. This morning I tried it and it works. Now the seat clears the seat back letting me flip it forward to get to the storage and I can’t tell the difference sitting in it. I suppose builder thought seat back means more room. It doesn’t. Now moving the seat back forward any wouldn’t work
May 2, 2017 at 9:31 am #303544I had the clutch chatter and was going to pull engine to check clutch. I then found bolts holding engine to trannie were a little loose. I tightened them and it started off with no chatter at all.
April 24, 2017 at 11:37 pm #303527I never had or was I ever able to find any manuals. I think I have the chrome Allison script. I did have a copy (picture of the fuse panel) With them all labeled but they weren’t the same as mine. My wiring was never hacked so I don’t know the difference, maybe just changes the factory made
April 20, 2017 at 10:36 pm #303514At the very least, install a panhard rod to prevent the springs from breaking.
Could you explain or send me a link about this panhard rod on this car.

April 19, 2017 at 11:57 pm #303508Thanks Bill
Being 77 years old and my hot rod days are long gone would that Fiber Fab rear end be OK
June 20, 2016 at 10:51 am #269510Found it. It is TD replicas. I wasn’t looking there since it is under galleries.
It isn’t sending me email when I have re: to a post.

June 19, 2016 at 10:57 pm #269246I have cleared cache. I see the forum but I don’t see the posts that was there. The posts there aren’t the ones I was seeing before. Thought I might be on wrong forum but I checked all and none look familiar.
June 19, 2016 at 8:10 pm #269131I can’t find the old posts. Are they gone?
May 1, 2016 at 12:04 pm #267949Got seat mounted, feels real good. OH, I have so much more on interior to do
April 27, 2016 at 7:27 pm #267948Yes I can tell that would cause back problems. The seats are just laying there, not mounted. I fooled with then a couple hours today and the back of the cushion part is going under the bottom of the back. Had to make some mounting brackets. They aren’t quite right but close enough I know how to make another set now that will work, it’s trial and error. It will be several days before I can work on it some more but I’ll post picture when finished
April 26, 2016 at 6:10 pm #267943The bottoms and the back are a set from the same car.

March 25, 2016 at 2:42 pm #267525I retired in 2008 as a crop duster. I flew 150hp Pawnee to 1200hp Thrush and most everything in between. About half my 21,000 hours in AgCat.

Are you a pilot? Your screen name indicates you might be.March 23, 2016 at 10:39 pm #267500Toller wrote:Have never shipped anything from Canada to US but choices I have used from US are via mail or courier. When I saw your location ended with CA I thought California. In my experience shipping between Canada and US is too high.
